Responsible Pharmacist Regulations

The responsible pharmacist regulations creates a legal duty for the pharmacist to ensure the safe and effective running of the pharmacy at all times. They were introduced to clarify the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists in addition to supporting pharmacists in developing their clinical role. The are several different areas that are covered in the legislation.

  1. Secure the safe and effective running of the registered pharmacy
  2. Displaying the responsible pharmacist notice
  3. The pharmacy record
  4. The pharmacy procedures
  5. Absence
